A whitepaper is a persuasive, authoritative, in-depth report on a specific topic that presents a problem and provides a solution." (blog.hubspot.com). It informs readers concisely about a complex issue and presents the issuing body's philosophy on the matter. It is meant to help readers understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision. (wikipedia).

On October 31st, 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published the whitepaper for Bitcoin. It announced the birth of Blockchain Technology and the philosophy behind it. Download it here.
